Spray vs Iludio: which is better for your Nigerian wedding gifts?
The short answer
Choose Iludio if you want physical gifts bought and delivered for you: it's a Nigerian wedding registry that delivers gifts after the event and charges guests a 3.5% + ₦250 handling fee on cash funds. Choose Spray if your wedding runs on Aso Ebi, transfers and cash: each page gets its own account number, every payment is matched to a guest and an item, and the same link sells Aso Ebi and runs a wishlist of cash funds.
- Iludio delivers physical gifts; Spray doesn't buy or deliver gifts.
- Iludio's cash-fund handling fee is 3.5% + ₦250, paid by guests at checkout.
- Iludio takes card payments only under ₦1,000,000 and pays out in naira within 5 business days.
- Spray sells Aso Ebi with stock and closing dates and matches each transfer to a guest.
- Contributions to an Iludio physical gift become store credit, not cash.
The short version
These two are built for different weddings. Iludio is a registry: guests pick items and Iludio buys and delivers them. Spray is an event page: guests pay for Aso Ebi, chip into cash funds or send a cash gift, mostly by transfer, and the couple sees who paid for what. Plenty of couples would be well served by either. The question is which kind of giving your guests will actually do.1
What Iludio does well
Iludio handles the shopping. Guests choose physical gifts from the registry and Iludio delivers them together after your event, within 3 weeks. Couples can also add cash funds. Payouts of cash funds go in naira to a Nigerian bank account.1
3.5% + ₦250
Iludio's handling fee on cash funds, which guests pay at checkout. Iludio says it charges fees only on cash funds.1
within 5 business days
How soon Iludio says cash funds reach the couple's Nigerian bank account.1
- Card payments are for amounts under ₦1,000,000; larger gifts go by bank transfer.
- Money given towards a physical item can't be turned into cash. Iludio gives store credit so you can pick other items of similar value.
What Spray does differently
- Aso Ebi in the same link: a section for each family, with prices, how many you have, a closing date, and pickup or delivery. Orders stop when an item sells out.
- A page account number: every page gets its own, and a transfer for exactly an item's price, or a whole multiple of it, is matched to that item automatically.
- Matching by name: if the sender's name matches a guest with an open order, the payment is added to it, part payments included. Anything else waits in your review queue with a suggestion.
- Cash funds: wishlist items guests can chip into or cover in full, plus cash gifts with suggested amounts. Funded items move to a Bought section, and you buy the thing wherever you like.
- Guests abroad pay by card in pounds, dollars, euros or Canadian dollars if you turn them on, and it reaches you in naira.
- Money goes to your verified bank account through a licensed payment partner. Spray never holds it in a wallet.
What Spray doesn't do: it doesn't stock a catalogue or deliver gifts. If a couple wants a blender to arrive at their door without lifting a finger, that's Iludio's job, not ours.

Which one fits your wedding?
Pick Iludio if your guests like choosing a present, you want gifts delivered, and Aso Ebi is being handled elsewhere.
Pick Spray if most of your money comes as transfers, you're selling Aso Ebi for one or both families, and you'd rather guests chip into funds like rent or the honeymoon. One US study of real wedding-registry gifts found recipients appreciated money more than any item they had asked for, though givers expected the opposite.2
